The 12 Mysteries were composed in 2016/2017 by Lars Wüller as a tribute to the wonderful and mysterious art of playing the guitar. They were created in close cooperation with the guitarist Fabian Hinsche. In each set of this piece one or two special playing techniques of the guitar are used to create a defined musical character. In each set of this piece one or two special playing techniques of the guitar are used in each case to create a defined musical character and a corresponding physical experience for the performing musician. Both should serve the most urgent effect of the music on the player and his audience. Classic playing techniques such as the flageolet, the pizzicato or the tremolo are used as well as unusual playing styles with percussive sounds (Goblin Prelude) or prepared guitar (Elegy of the Machine). The special sound atmospheres are partly supported by tuning the guitar strings. In the course of the composition, the mood of the strings changes increasingly. In Surreal Waltz, four of the six guitar strings are tuned to different pitches. The different sets can be played individually or in any combination. If the piece is performed in its entirety, the attached short story may also complement the performance. It can be recited by a speaker between each part of this piece. In 2018, the notes appeared as a complete edition of 116 pages (the complete recording of this composition is also available on a double CD with guitarist Fabian Hinsche, the well-known audiobook speaker Johannes Steck). Level: Advanced - Includes: Prologue, Martial Arts, Lullaby, The Antihero, Cumulus, Momentum, The Full Monty, Goblin Prelude, Zombie Dance, Moshpit, Legend of the Ancient Dragonfly, Surreal Waltz, Elegy of the Machine
